Mark.1;6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

    7 And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose”

    ☆John introduced Jesus and His ministry but said he can’t be even as a servant to Jesus by reason of the ministry that Jesus represented.

    ☆Your call to serve certain individuals is what exposes your minstry.

    ☆It means your minstry strives because you have and keep that relationship.

    ☆Your reward from the Father is tied to your obedience in serving and exposing that ministry.

    ☆Its important we know who we are called to serve and the limit and extent of our assignment to that individual.

    ☆Knowing the call and ministry of the one you are called to relate with doesn’t, mean you can do the same thing that individual was called to do but you know about it.

    ☆Some ministries are unique and exceptional in content and not what everyone must strive to replicate.But you can keep his content alive for they should be generational.

    ☆You receive clearer directives from the Father for working in that light of exposition of that ministry. John could hear God asking him to Baptize Jesus.

    ☆Divine instructions are regularly available to you in your sphere because of your relationship with that minstry.

    ☆If you identified such a ministry in your life don’t shield your followers from accessing that individual. Jesus started with John’s disciples as he exposed them to Him.

    ☆See yourself as a team player with that ministry in fulfilling God’s agenda on the earth. It’s not just about you or your independent minstry.

    ☆Recognize that you are like the Bridegroom’s friend that prepare the hearts of those He is sent to reach.

    ☆Declaring your real you could come from that unique ministry. Jesus exposed John’s true spiritual status when He told the people amongst those born of women there is none as great as John the Baptist.

    ☆It shows that one word from such ministries exposes and fully positions you in your sphere of life and calling.

    ☆There is always joy between the two of you when you meet or are working out the issues of ministry because you are there to complement each other.

    John leaped for joy when Mary greeted Elizabeth. There was joy in the hearts of both Moeses and Aaron when they met.

    ☆Recognize that your relationship is not coincidental but divine.

    ☆Therefore you both should not be in a hurry to break relationship.

    Be Blessed.

    Rev. 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years 5 BUT THE REST OF THE DEAD LIVED NOT again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.”

    Ans. Rom. 7:5, “For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.”

    Eph. 2:1, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

    2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

    3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.”

    Col. 2: 13, “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.”

    Let’s locate the true meanings of these words; BUT THE REST OF THE DEAD LIVED NOT…

    Answer. (a) “Dead”-Nekros, a corpse. Jesus speaking to the Pharisees said, Matt. 23:27,

    “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness,” (Luke 11:44).

    Meaning the Pharisees were walking dead religiously speaking. You can religiously be ok but walking with dead spirits looking for expressions through you. Meaning you are like a graveyard carrying the spirits of the dead. So the dead here in Rev. 20 has nothing to do with those in the cemetery.

    “REST” -LOIPOY-Remaining ones, other which remain, remnant, residue, rest”

    “LIVED”= Anazao-to recover life (lit or fig) be alive again, revive.”

    Speaking about the prodigal son, the father said, Luke 15:24,

    “For this my son was DEAD, and is ALIVE AGAIN; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 32 it was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”

    So where was he buried? You see, with the Jews once you are out of the father’s household, you are seen as dead, even outside Palestine in those days in their slavery they were regarded as dead.

    So you don’t have to be buried in the cemetery to get resurrected.

    Meaning once you can relocate yourself back to the Fathers House, the realm of God’s life and spirit, your born again experience, then you have been resurrected.

    It therefore means that those who could not attain by way of their faith in Christ to be born again at this day, period of time, that we are in are “the rest of the DEAD which live not until” the thousand years were finished.

    That is, they could not come to the rest of God in Christ. They are awaiting that realm of second death which is the lake of fire.

    Meaning also that what the Cross-Blood could not do for them, the lake of fire will have to do. Why? Because all spirit must return to God who gave it, Ecl. 12:7

    So all those who could not receive (recover) their real life, which is the life of Christ (Eph. 3:17; Gal. 2:20) are the rest of the dead.

    These shall end up in the Lake of Fire which is the second death, Rev. 20:10, 13. Not somewhere in the ground, mind you!

    All the rest of the dead are those still under the influence of the Adam life instead of the Christ Life.

    In summary therefore, we found that Christians are reigning now, experiencing the rest and the victory of Christ in that which is called the one thousand years, triumphing over every work of the enemy as they bring them into subjection. This is the first resurrection and the rest of the dead are those who have not attained to this life of Christ.

    The Millennium, therefore, is the eternal Day of God in Christ as He reigns in His kingdom with authority given to the Saints of the Most High through the power of the Holy Ghost, as Satan is bound for the believers in the work of the Cross of Christ which is the first resurrection.

    All who have not attained to this are the rest of the dead. The thousand years is not in arithmetical values by calculation but an eternal Day of God’s rest

    The End

    If We Say Christians Are Now Reigning, What Then Is The First Resurrection?

    Rev. 20:4, 5b. “4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.”

    Essentially the “b” part of verse 5 ought to follow verse 4 immediately after “reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

    So it ought to read; “…they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years… This is the first resurrection.”

    Meaning those who are reigning with Christ are those who have partaken of the FIRST RESURRECTION.

    So what is the first Resurrection?

    Ans. John 5:25, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

    26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

    27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

    28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice.”

    When He said the Father has given him authority to execute judgment, this is referring to that judgment which He was shortly to execute on this unbelieving nation, and apparently in direct reference to Dan. 7:13, “Behold one like the Son of man came with the clouds.” And the Jews have always expounded on this to mean the promised Messiah.

    So talking of the resurrection Jesus was only actually referring to the release of the Jews from their captivity should they listen to His voice, as at the time of His birth Israel was under bondage to Rome.

    By reason of their rebellion not to listen to His voice, He wept over the city when He foresaw the judgment that was coming to them through the Roman armies in AD 70.

    Matt. 23:36, “Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

    37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.”

    So when He talked about resurrection, He was essentially referring to freeing the Jews from their slavery just like the Prophet Ezekiel stated also. And we read,

    Ezek. 37:12, “Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel,” KJV.

    This was prophetic of Israel coming out of captivity. So the graves aren’t talking of the cemetery but their enslavement he called graves. And if you come out of a grave what’s that supposed to mean? A resurrection!

    Now in Rev. 2:11 we are told,

    “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.”

    Second death? What’s the second death? And so we read,

    Rev. 20:14, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

    Meaning the lake of fire is the second death. That would mean that the first death is where those who partook of the first Resurrection came out from.

    So what’s the first death and first resurrection?

    The first resurrection is the moral and spiritual re-awakening (Phil. 3:11) from among the dead in sin and trespasses (Eph. 2:1-3) being influenced by the devil. We are resurrected in Christ as we hear His voice (words).

    John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

    All those therefore who truly have Christ, have partaken of the first resurrection while the rest are still dead.

    (Gen. 2:17, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”) Now they ate and they died to the life of God (Gen. 3:5).

    For 1 Tim. 5:6, “…She (anyone) that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.”

    Now to come out of the death state in the Adam life, you have to die in Christ.

    MSG, Col. 3:1, “So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. 2 Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ — that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective. 3 Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life — even though invisible to spectators — is with Christ in God. He is your life.”

    So you see all those who have received the life of Christ have risen from the realm of death into the real life, the resurrected life of God in Christ, the first resurrection.

    Meaning the blood of Jesus brought you out of that grave where you were in Adam.

    So we are not talking of rising from a cemetery in this context but from a state of the dead in Adam, even as we have to die in Christ as a resurrected being with a new life.

    Now we are dead TO sin but not dead IN sin. Meaning sin can no longer have an effect and power in your life. You are a new creature with the life of Christ.

    Rev. 20:4, “4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

    Did The Bible Say Christians Are Triumphing In Christ?

    Ans. 2Cor. 2:14, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.”

    To triumph means to make an acclamatory procession (fig) to conquer, to give victory, to triumph over.”

    Moses’ song over the overthrow of Pharaoh at the Red Sea illustrates this for us. Exo. 15:1,

    “Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.”

    So just as Moses led Israel to a victorious procession, even so in the order of the Kingdom Christ has led and is leading the Christians in a victorious procession over all the enemy all around the universe.

    This is what it means by

    “…He (Christ) was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God -Christ. And the armies (saints) which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.” For we the saints ride and follow Him (Rev. 19:11-14).

    The white horses speaks of a victorious righteousness of the saints.

    The picture is like a victorious general making his solemn entry into Rome after the conquest of the enemy.

    God is passing triumphantly through the world with His Apostles (saints) in His train, indicating to us that Satan is completely bound with Christians reigning victoriously in the ‘realm of glory’ in Christ over every work of the enemy and the power of the law, Col. 2:14-15; Eph. 2:6.

    So (Ps. 47:1) “…clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. 2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. 4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.” Praise the Lord!

    “Souls of them that were beheaded.”

    What John saw were “souls” and not “people” that were martyred. These are the irrational souls, men who have lost their minds for the things of Christ which to the world, they looks like madness. They have no mind of their own anymore.

    Paul lost everything as a religious leader, pharisees (Phil. 3:1-4) just to have Christ. He lost his head

    To be beheaded for the witness of Jesus means you have lost your carnal mind in Adam and now you have the mind of Christ.

    Now Christ is your head instead of Adam as a controlling factor of life.

    Your head doesn’t have to be cut off to stand on a witness box in court.

    So this simply means, losing the mind of Adam, your former life, to gain your real life which is that of Christ, Col. 3:3-4.

    What Jesus meant to say of “the son of man having nowhere to lay His head” in Matt. 8:20,;

    is simply that the disciples, then the infant Church was not matured enough to carry His wisdom and revelations. He had nowhere to lay His head, because the head must rest on the Body, as the government is upon the shoulder.

    But after the resurrection, He found a Body to lay His head on and that is you and I (The Church). And with this, the government of heaven is riding triumphantly over the earth, even though there seems to be gross darkness all over the place.

    We are on the winning side with Christ as the lead Captain, and there is a Greater Glory ahead. Amen.

    Friends, with Christ as your head, you are victorious everyday of your life. Let us keep shouting the shout of victory as the saints keep marching on.

    Recognizing Your Authority In The Kingdom.

    The scripture says, “If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us,” 2Tim. 2:12.

    We have seen from previous studies that Christ is already seated in the already established kingdom of His Father and that the kingdom is eternal which sons of God can enter into in Christ.

    So now we want to find out whether Christians are reigning with Christ now or not. What is the first resurrection? Who are the rest of the dead?

    What does it mean to reign with Christ? (Rev. 20:4) Ans. The word reign (basileuo) means; to rule, king, reign.

    In Rom. 5:21 we are told, “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”

    So how does sin reign or even righteousness too? Are they physical human beings you can see? The answers say No!

    But we know that this is talking about influence and power. We know how much influence either of these releases on the earth that can change the course of time and lives. That is how much power these factors are in life as they reign.

    Now the Bible says of Christians;

    Rev. 5:10, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

    Should this be only when He returns again?

    So you see, you start reigning right from when you are born again into the kingdom of God. And the first place your rulership starts is in your spirit. See it here, Prov. 25:28,

    ”He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls,” KJV.

    Paul speaking to the Corinthians says this to them;

    1Cor. 4: 8, “Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.”

    Meaning, you are so full of wisdom; rich both in wealth and spiritual gifts (1Cor. 14:26) so that you have so much influence reigning as kings, flourishing in the enjoyment of these things, in all peace and honour; without consideration for any one of us who made or brought you into this knowledge of truth. You live your life like you don’t have any need of us in anyway.

    But I wish you really could do all these without us instead of living in this deception for we are largely instrumental to your success and glory in life in every manner.

    And so, Rom. 8:17, “…if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

    18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

    Now to reign with Christ is from the Greek word “sumbaseleou,” meaning to be a co-regent, to combine, consent, to aid (personally) to join, conferring.

    Indicating that we as sons of God can exercise identical authority with Jesus in His throne with the rod of rulership which is the Word of God.

    Therefore, we read of Jesus when dealing with His enemies, which actually speaks of the enemies of our soul, the Word says,

    Rev. 19:15, “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORD.”

    “Out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword,”= speaks of the Word of God which is the Gospel through which His enemies are confounded and yet brings a great support and comfort to His Body, the Church.

    “With a rod of iron,” ,= speaks of the judgment on those who are oppressors of His truth and which also speaks of the anguish those who try to oppose the Gospel goes through on hearing it.

    “He treaded the winepress.” ,= So just as grapes are trodden to express or extract the juice, so His enemies shall be bruised and beaten, so that their life’s blood shall be poured out.

    And so God speaking to Jesus, which is applicable to us as believers, the Word says;

    Ps. 2:8, “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel,”

    which was a promise to the man-child.

    Rev. 12:4, “And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God and to his throne.”

    The man-child is the Church that comes out of the present Church order. It is the overcoming Church. So if we suffer with Him, we shall also reign with Him in full glory at the end through the Gospel as we take over territories for Him in greater measure.

    Therefore, we reign with Christ through the Gospel we preach and teach as men are won over into the kingdom, for the authority of Christ is through the Gospel in the power of the Holy Ghost. You ought to be reigning NOW!

    Rev. 20:4, “I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, ..And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.”

    When Did Jesus Promise To Drink The Fruit Of The Vine (Last Super) Again With The Apostles, And How Does It Relate To Us?

    Ans. Luke 22:17, “And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:

    18 FOR I SAY UNTO YOU, I WILL NOT DRINK OF THE FRUIT OF THE VINE, UNTIL THE KINGDOM OF GOD SHALL COME. 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

    20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.”

    In Matt. 26:29 He calls it “In his father’s kingdom” which we are now and having appointed us a kingdom (Luke 22:29-30).

    From the above passages, it’s often seen as if Jesus was promising the coming Millennium or when He supposedly comes back again then He will set up the kingdom in Jerusalem; and then He will drink the wine, last supper Passover with them.

    But the truth is when He said,

    “I will not drink of the fruit of the vine,” what He meant to say was, before the time of another Passover, the Holy Ghost shall have descended, and the Gospel of the kingdom be established, then the Lamb should have been slain which is our Passover.

    1Cor. 5:7, “…For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us.”

    This is because in a few hours as He spoke with them, His crucifixion was to take place.

    “I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine.”

    Meaning we shall not have another opportunity of eating this bread and drinking this wine together in this natural state, for in a few hours my crucifixion shall take place.

    “Until that day when I drink it new with you.”

    That is, I shall no more drink of this natural product of the vine with you; but rather shall drink NEW WINE-the wine which is completely different in nature and substance from this one. And this must be the type that only the kingdom of God alone can afford.

    So when you talk about NEW here it is the same way as it is applied in the scriptures.

    Just like you have the NEW heaven, the NEW earth, the NEW Covenant, and the NEW Man, which simply means every one of these in a different nature and substances from the former one.

    While it is said to be a thing of utmost joy to the soul while partaking of the sacrament, as wine is a symbol of joy, Jesus meant to say “the wine of the kingdom,” is far more powerful and much more precious than the natural celebration that cannot be compared to the spiritual enjoyments at the right hand of God.

    He was simply saying the Lord’s supper was a type and a pledge to the genuine Christian of the joy to enjoy with Christ in His Kingdom of Glory. From what our Lord says here, we learn that the sacrament of his supper is a type and a pledge, to genuine Christians, of the felicity they shall enjoy with Christ in the kingdom of glory.

    Remember He is at the right hand of the Father and we are seated together with Him right there which is a place of power and glory that surpasses anything of this natural world.

    He is the vine and we are the branches as He said in John 15:5.

    And the fruits of the vine cannot be the natural wine or wafer that has gone through fermentation. Remember He didn’t see corruption, (Acts.2:25-27). Meaning His blood didn’t not go through fermentation.

    The fruits of the vine, which is the product of His union with the Church is the Holy Spirit, released from His Blood, for the life of the flesh is in the blood (Lev. 17:11). “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life”(Blood-Holy Spirit),(Rom. 5:10, KJV).

    Paul even have to admonish us on how to celebrate this NEW feast.,,

    1Cor. 5:8, “Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

    So in Rev. 3: 20, we are told, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

    Notice, He said, “I will come IN TO HIM” not “I will come in” as we have commonly quoted this passage. Why is He coming IN to this individual?

    That He might share the communion, the sacrament, the last super, the Passover with him IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD which is within that individual. For the kingdom of God is within you, Luke 17:20-21.

    Now we see what joy the 120 in the upper room had when they came down blasting in tongues and the people thought they were drunk with natural wine. But no, they just finished partaking of the Passover meal with Christ in His kingdom as promised disciples.

    Beloved, God’s throne is already in existence in an ever existing kingdom of His and we are in the kingdom (the church) with the Son.

    No literal kingdom in Israel again was promised.

    Now you can share His glory as you share His life in the kingdom. He is alive now and forever. Don’t just have a Memorial-Remembrance of Him, but He wants you to share His life people. Praise God.

    How Many Days Did God Give To Man To Labour?

    Ans. Exo. 20:8, “Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 You have six days each week for your ordinary work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. On that day no one in your household may do any work. This includes you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, your livestock, and any foreigners living among you. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and everything in them; but on the seventh day he rested.”

    That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy, (Deut. 5:1-15).

    Answer. We are told here man was given six days to work and to rest on the 7th day. But there is something in passing you may not notice in the above quoted passage. For instance, the purpose of the rest is directly tied to labour that man may rest his physical body, being tired. So the question is does God get tired? Did God get wearied hence he needed rest? What should prompt God to rest?

    Can I explain something to you? The day God is said to have rested is not the same as the previous six days of the creation week.

    Gen. 1:5 says,“And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”

    And this is how all the other days of the week ran through. “Morning and Evening;” “Morning and evening.”

    But when you come to the Day God rested here is how it is stated in

    Gen. 2:1,

    “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”

    Do you see that? A careful reading of Genesis 1 will reveal that unlike the previous six days, the seventh day that God rested has no “Morning and Evening.”

    So it’s not talking about your weekly days but the Eternal Day of God. No end to it, for God is spirit and He lives in an Eternal Day of Rest.

    So what is this Eternal Day of God? It is simply Christ. Hence it is said in Matt. 11: 28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

    Ampl. Matt. 11:28, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.”

    Meaning whosoever has not entered into the rest of God -Christ (Matt. 11:28) is still in his 6th day. But the true sons of God in faith are in the 7th day of God in Christ where they no longer labour in sin, religion of self-righteousness and law keeping ceremonies (2Cor. 5:21).

    This eternal day of God is when all things are finished in the Christ.

    Eph. 2:10, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Eph. 3:9, “And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ.”

    And Heb. 4:3, “…we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”

    Therefore, “Ye (we) are all the children of light, and THE CHILDREN OF THE DAY…” (1Thes. 5:5). What day? The Eternal Day of God’s Rest.

    Gen. 1:4, “And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night…” We belong to the great light called DAY. Wherein we can find our rest on all sides. This, my friend, is God’s true Sabbath, the Christ of God. Are you resting!

    Looking at the above passage from what we have ever believed in the tradition of the Millennium and the Rapture, there seems to be a break in the kingdom.

    What I mean is, Christ will be reigning 1000 years and Satan will be let loose again and then Jesus comes down with the saints finally for them to inherit the earth after the rapture. But can we truly back up these theories from the Scriptures?

    Let’s examine a few first.

    Is The kingdom Expected to Have A Break (end) So That The Devil Can Be Let Loose For A While? Rev. 20:7

    Ans. Dan. 2:31, “Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible

    32 This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, {thighs: or, sides}

    33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

    34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

    35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.”

    The above passages described for us what came upon the earth in the days of Jesus as a prophecy of the four major kingdoms when Daniel (Israel) was in captivity in Babylon, starting from Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome; Rome being the last of the four kingdoms.

    But verse 44 seems to give the summary of the whole prophecy as seen in the dream of the King Nebuchadnezzar. See it; 44

    “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall STAND FOREVER,” (Dan. 7:9, 13-14,18, 22, 27).

    Now Jesus, exactly according to this prophecy, was born in “the days of the last kingdom, the Roman Empire.”

    And so when He was answering the question that Pilate posed before Him while in the judgment hall He said in;

    John 18:33, “Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

    34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?

    35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

    36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

    37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”

    This is clear enough that He came to fulfill the prophecy of Dan. 2:44, and He never denied that He was a king.

    Now if He was born a king and He came to set up His kingdom which is meant to be forever, where then is the break that we are told to be the millennium by the rapture theorists?

    When He said my kingdom was not of this world He meant to say my kingdom is spiritual and doesn’t take its offshoot and policies from the previous four kingdoms.

    So was there going to be any break to accommodate a millennium or rapture period? The answer says No!

    Rather it is a gradual and continuous growth till the earth is filled with the knowledge and righteousness of God. The word says in Isa. 9:7,

    “Of THE INCREASE OF HIS GOVERNMENT AND PEACE there shall be NO END, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.”

    Therefore, Rev. 11:15, “The seventh angel then blew [his] trumpet, and there were mighty voices in heaven, shouting, The dominion (kingdom, sovereignty, rule) of the world has now come into the possession and become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ (the Messiah), and He shall reign forever and ever (for the eternities of the eternities)! AMP.

    So you see, when He came, it was,

    Mark 1:14, “After John was arrested, Jesus went to Galilee preaching the Message of God: 15 Time’s up! God’s kingdom is here. Change your life and believe the Message.” MSG.

    Praise the Lord!

    Notice that this is an ETERNAL REIGN of God starting with the establishment of His kingdom. There is no break of one thousand years and the rapture parenthesis theory anywhere here in scripture.

    Rev. 20:4, “I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, ..and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

    AMP., Luke 17:20, “Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, 21 Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].”

    Luke 11:20, “But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you,” (Matt.12:28).

    The finger of God is the same as the Holy Spirit of God who is the carrier of the Kingdom (Rom. 14:17; 1 Cor. 2:4).

    God’s kingdom is not a literal kingdom to be seen with physical eyes but can be experienced spiritually in power. Love is a strong force even though you can’t see love, but it changes things. The wind is the same, a powerful force.

    In John 3:8 we are told, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” Here we are told those born into this kingdom are like wind, which is Spirit, the same is word.

    Therefore this kingdom can only be experienced spiritually (John 3:3) and entered into in spirit (John 3:5) which is the rest of God.

    For the kingdom of God is not of this world (John 18:38), that is, it doesn’t take its economic policies and governance from that of this world.

    In Rev. 12:7 we read, “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”

    This has nothing to do with the fable of the Angel Lucifer story.

    We see that once Satan is cast out of heaven, the dwelling place of God thence, “Now is COME SALVATION, and strength, and THE KINGDOM OF OUR GOD.”

    The kingdom of God, appears because man’s accusing power is removed and that is SALVATION.

    Hence Jesus would say; Matt. 12:28,

    “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

    Salvation is a product of the cross, so you can see that this casting out is taking place here on the earth.

    But from where then is he cast out?

    From the hearts of men so that God would take His place. See it;

    AMP., Eph. 2:2, “In which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air. [You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God].”

    And this was achieved through the cross such that after His resurrection, the Holy Spirit is received as God to dwell in man His Temple.

    Eph. 2:21, “In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”

    So God inhabits you through the Holy Spirit.

    And here is the final thing that God is working out as Christ reigns in His kingdom.

    AMP., 1 Cor. 15:25, “For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet. [Ps 110:1] 27 For He [the Father] has put all things in subjection under His [Christ’s] feet. But when it says, All things are put in subjection [under Him], it is evident that He [Himself] is excepted Who does the subjecting of all things to Him. [Ps 8:6] 28 However, when everything is subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will also subject Himself to [the Father] Who put all things under Him, so that God may be all in all [be everything to everyone, supreme,THE INDWELLING AND CONTROLLING FACTOR OF LIFE].”

    God shall finally become the indwelling controlling factor of every man. Hence as many as are led by the Spirit of God they are the sons if God.”

    Rev. 20:4, “I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

    Is there going to be a physical restoration of the kingdom in Israel for Christ to reign in His Second Coming?

    To answer the above question we will look again into scriptures. The disciples asked Jesus a question after His resurrection and speaking to them about the kingdom for forty days walking the earth with a glorified body.

    Acts 1:6, “When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

    7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

    8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

    From the above, one wonders if the Disciples truly understood Jesus teaching them for forty days on the things of the kingdom on earth. For their old mindset of what the kingdom should be and it being a prerogative of natural Israel was still troubling them.

    For that is what ought to install Jesus as king in their thinking, since to them Jesus is coming in to rule in the dynasty of the most prosperous King David and should not have died.

    Look at this; Mark 11:9,

    “And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest,” ( Ps. 118:25-26). Matt. 9: 27¶, “And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.”

    So that He died brought in their confusion just like it is to the average believer today making His rule only when He comes a second time.

    Now Jesus didn’t answer them as to a “yes” or “no” but rather asked them to wait for the promise of the Father.

    Meaning the promise of the Father which is the Holy Spirit is what carries the kingdom they were looking for. For we are told;

    AMP., Matt. 12:28, “But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you [before you expected it].

    And when;

    AMP., Rom. 14:17, “[After all] the kingdom of God (the reign of God) is not a matter of [getting the] food and drink [one likes], but instead it is righteousness (that state which makes a person acceptable to God) and [heart] peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

    The above scriptures therefore revealed the fact that the kingdom is a spiritual kingdom.

    Therefore we are told;

    Acts 2:29, “Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ…”

    So what brought Him to the throne of rulership was His resurrection and not His second coming.

    Hence we read;

    MSG., Eph.1:20, “God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, 21 in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. 22 He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. 23 The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.”

    We can therefore see that Christ’ physical appearance (birth), death and resurrection and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is what brought Him to the throne (kingdom, Col. 1:13) even now and not through His supposed second coming.

    The good news is, Christ wants to rule through the Church universally and not a second coming in Palestine. Wake up son!
