BOOK-OF-REVELATION----DR-DAVID-OGAGA

Rev.1: 1 “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John”

Again we emphasis what we are dealing here in these studies, and that is this none fact, the Book is about the person of Jesus Christ therefore it cannot just be relegated to past history and claimed to have been fulfilled. While it is true that Jesus life has a fulfilled aspect in his redemption work in human history, even so there are fulfilled statements, verses and portions of the Book that really can be seen from historical perspective. Bu the overall concern is the Revelation of a person and his dealing with his Church and humanity and so cannot be said to be fulfilled ultimately, rather it is a progressive fulfilling Book with prophetic insight. It is the work, life of the Anointed Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, in speaking of himself in Luke , he said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor: He hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, and to set at liberty them that are bruised.”

We have people who say that Christ is the anointing, but this can’t be the truth. Rather, Jesus the Christ is the anointed, the anointed one, so Christ is the one anointed, not the anointing. The oil typifies the anoint-ing, but the one upon whom the oil was poured was the anoint-ed, just as we said before of Jacob anointing the stone in Bethel. The stone was not the Anointing but the Anointed, even so Christ is the Anointed, and very anointed one to whom the oil poured upon.

“Thou art the Christ…” (Mat. 16:16).The word says, meaning you are the Anointed one . So when we read, “God has made this same Jesus both Lord and Christ” (Acts 2:36).We mean to say. The savior is now ruler and the Anointed one. By implication, God has Anointed the the Saviour to be the ruler.

Therefore “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God” (I Jn. 5:1).meaning, whosoever believeth this fact that the Saviour is the Anointed one is born of again.

Jesus surely was not the oil — He was the prophet, priest, and king, the threefold office that he occupied, upon whom the oil was poured! He is not the anoint-ing — He is the anoint-ed!

So,here is the mystery again.

“For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ!” (I Cor. 12:12). “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. ( 2Co 1:21-22) (KJV)

Wow! Now, this is a very interesting fact to behold..

Jesus Christ is THE ANOINTED ONE and we are members of His body — therefore we are IN THE ANOINTED ONE and so share HIS ANOINTING. Get this right beloved , It is not Christ as the anointing that makes us the anointed, it is our participation in the very substance of Christ — the Anointed One — that makes us anointed! He is not our anointing — the anointing which He received from the Father is now also our anointing! We simply receives this by association and belonging to Him who is the Anointed..

The words of David define this properly for us. “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! , It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments” Ps 133:1 -2 (KJV).

The oil runs from the head to the Body that is what we get as the mystery of our participation in him.

Jesus the Christ is the Head of this body, and the very life and reality of this body which we are.

Therefore, the same anointing that is poured upon the Head-Christ flows all the way down to the feet of the Christ-Body, so that every member of the body is anointed with the same anointing as the Head, even as we are admonished to “.. put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 13:14).

When we put on the Lord Jesus Christ as our garment of Salvation, we therefore receive his Anointing, not our own separate from his. We are becoming one with Him.

If that is the truth, which it is, what do you think this Book is all about? It is simply, the revelation of the crucified, risen, ascended, glorified, spiritualized, universalized JESUS CHRIST who is Saviour of all men and Lord of all! It is the revelation of Jesus Christ as Head and body in the earth by the power of the spirit of His sonship!

Folks, this Book is all about our sonship in Christ and not about some funny stories that are concocted for us to believe in theologically, that are full of human imaginations producing fears of what they called the events of the last days.

Listen to Apostle Paul speak on this fact of his sonship.

( But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,..

To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:…

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.(Gal.1:15-16,20),

This is what we should be talking about, the son that is the Christ, the Anointed one, taking over our lives in all that we do and say as we walk the earth.

Don’t forget this fact, the Book is about “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him..” God first gave him the ministry of revealing what the Anointed Saviour is, now Anointed saviours shall arise out of Mounth Zion. We have to reveal the same ministry to the world, for as he is so are we in this world. Whatever he was and is, we have to become. so creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. It’s not a fulfilled mission yet folks, lets press on!.

To be continued…
