Jesus Christ Crucifixion on Good Friday Silhouette

Gal.3: 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Here it is said, Christ hath redeemed us- ( exhgorasen).meaning he had bought us with a price; i.e his blood, or life, by being made a curse for us.

Made a curse; treated as accursed, in suffering for our sake the accursed death of the cross. Deut. 21:23; 2Co 5:21.

In other words, he was being made as atonement for our sins. This is so because that which was offered as atonement for sin was considered as bearing the punishment due to sin.

And the person who suffered for transgression was considered as bearing the curse in his body; and such a victim in was taken down from the cross the same day he was executed and buried out of sight to prevent the pollution of the land. The reason being that he that was hanged, was considered accursed of God, which was the case for every of such victim of such crime (Deut.21:22,23). This was responsible for Jesus ‘body being removed same day from the cross.

2 Cor.5: 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

“ who knew no sin”

Math.26: 57 And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

58 But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

59 Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

60 But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

61 And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God”

The above trial of Jesus was to establish one thing, the quilt of Jesus that would make him a sinner, but they found none. The spiritual implication of this trial was very significant. He was the lamb of God, and every Lamb before it is offered must be examined by the priest to see if it is without spot , or blemish of any sort.

So here the priests and elders of Israel were performing that role and spiritually speaking they found no blemish in the Lamb therefore he was qualified to be offered as a sinless Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Yes, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who KNEW NO SIN” And what is the outcome of this? We became the righteousness of God.

And here is what the word says..Rom.5: 19 “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous”.

And what is that? Simply that by reason of Adam’s disobedience, all mankind disobeyed and was counted sinners. Conversely, by the obedience of Christ, all men are counted obedient, and therefore, righteous. Meaning that all inherited penalty for Adam’s sin is blotted out for the whole human race, and considered righteous people and not sinners anymore if only we can accept and recieve that offer.

1 Cor 1:30 But it is from Him (God) that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin]. AMP.

Now this is what your freedom and righteousness bought by this exchanged life can do for you if only you can truly believe, acknowledge and walk in that conviction.

Isa 54:15 Behold, they may gather together and stir up strife, but it is not from Me. Whoever stirs up strife against you shall fall and surrender to you.

16 Behold, I have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals and who produces a weapon for its purpose; and I have created the devastator to destroy.

17 But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord. AMP.

Can you see it? The peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition you ought to be experiencing today is your heritage as the servants of the Lord who has procured for you your righteousness through the sinless Lamb that God offered.

In conclusion. Jesus was not a sinner, never had sinned, ‘for in him was no sin’. But he was made sin for us, meaning he was offered on our behalf as sin offering that we might BECOME, the righteousness that God desired and longed for. So now we who were once sinners are now righteous people. He did it all.

Henceforth don’t live under condemnation. And as a righteous man, be bold to shut the mouth of whoever will want to rise against you. You have the power!
