Such a scary number that is most preached about, when men are to scare others into submission to religious faith.
Men have said it’s the computer bar codes on products, others an individual that shall rise up on the face of the Earth, microchips in human bodies, and yet others, maybe the Idi Amin Dada of Uganda, Henry Kissinger, Hitler, Saddam Hussein etc. etc, manifesting as the Anti-Christ. But just what is this Number 666?
Somebody says , is it not the number of man? Yes, but it is not the number of an individual but the corporate man without Christ. You see, man was created on the sixth Day of the creation week.(Gen.1:26-31) Therefore the number of man is the number six, just like seven is the number of perfection or completeness, which also is the number of God, even as Eight is the number of Jesus, a new beginning.
Anyway, let us start with this scripture.
“Mrk.3: 28 – Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies where with soever they shall blaspheme:
29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.”
All because he healed a demonized man, by casting out a devil. By implication, if you sin against the Father, you shall be forgiven, you sin against the Son, you shall be forgiven, but if you sin against the Holy Spirit, you shall not be forgiven. So in this sense who is the greatest, Father, son and the Holy Ghost. You see where we get it wrong? If the Father is the greatest so why is the sin against the Holy Ghost not forgivable and yet that of the Father is? Who should have the preeminence amongst them if they were three people on the same throne in anyway.

Get this right, God’s intents from the beginning after the fall of man is to get man back to Himself- Redemption. And so He revealed Himself to Israel haven chosen her as a Nation out of other Nations in order that Israel might serve as priesthood community to bring others to God, then man said, He is a God of the Jews, blasphemy against the Father. Thereafter He appeared as Christ in form of a man.( John.1:1,14). Again, man said he is Jesus of Nazareth, the Carpenter’s son, Sin against the son. Then the Lord said, am coming to receive man back to myself as the Holy Spirit, but whosoever will not accept my redemptive plan through the Holy Spirit, I shall have no other option available for him or her.
In other word, this is my last game. You see why the Holy Ghost is so important? So in rejecting the Holy Spirit, you sin against the Holy Spirit, like they said he was casting out devils with the spirit of Beelzebub. The sin of blasphemy.
The truth of the matter then is, the triple six (666) is the number of times that man has rebelled and rejected the saving hand of God. This is the sin against the Father, against the Son and against the Holy Ghost. 6 6 6. Nothing to do with a literal mark on people’s forehead or right hand.
Meaning also that there is no unpardonable sin. All sins are forgivable. For the day a man acknowledges the saving Grace of God, his sins are forgiven. And no man can call upon the name of the Lord except by the Holy Ghost.
“ 2 1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost ”
This is why the function of the Holy Spirit is properly outlined for us by the Lord Himself in (John16:7-11
“ 7 ¶Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged…”
The very same things the Father was supposed to achieved as the son. And it’s very important to note verse 10. “Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more”;
Meaning the Holy Spirit takes over from where He left off, ‘see me no more’ and then reveals to the believer what true righteousness of God is. But convinces the world who do not know and believe God, of sin. Knowing that Jesus was manifested to take away the sin of the world. He became sin for us who knew no sin.
So as believes, we have accepted that fact, but we need to know what the very righteousness of God is without the law- religious rituals in other to pleased God. The Holy Spirit convinces us that we are righteous in Christ.1 Cor.1: 30
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” And this is the righteousness which is of faith. .Rom. 4:13. The very type Abraham had even before he performed any religious duties.

We have already established the fact that, there is no unpardonable sin, because the day you accept the Lord through the power of the Holy Spirit, then your sins are forgiven you. For “no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost” 2 1Cor. 12:3.
But in 1 John 5:16, we are told….
“If anyone sees his brother [believer] committing a sin that does not [lead to] death (the extinguishing of life), he will pray and [God] will give him life [yes, He will grant life to all those sin is not one leading to death]. There is a sin [that leads] to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.
17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin which does not [involve] death [that may be repented of and forgiven]. AMP
Meaning, that this type of sin precludes repentance and so it cannot be forgiven, same as Jesus said ‘but is in danger of eternal damnation’.
So what sin is this? This is simply the rejection of the work of the Holy Ghost, Do not forget that John was writing and warning believers about those who will not accept that the Lord Jesus Christ as manifesting or came in the flesh, and that the anointing which is within us can teach us all things, meaning, we can recognize false doctrines from the genuine one because of the Holy Spirit within us.
Therefore in not acknowledging the Holy Ghost to teach us, we fall into the hands of the false Anti-Christ corporate body, teaching then that God cannot dwell in the flesh as human, because Earth- matter as it were is evil and God is too Holy to become man in the flesh since man is made from the ground. And these were the Gnostics .
Now,. Gnosticism actually was a wide variety of Jewish and early Christian sects having an interest in gnosis ( immanent form of knowledge or transcendent insight)…or divine knowledge and generally holding the belief that there is a god greater than the Demiurge, (A prideful inferior being that creates the material world; frequently identified with the creator God of the Hebrew Bible).
Don’t get this wrong, they were a Christian Jewish sect that have gone into teachings that were even denying the true God as the creator of the world, and this creator God we are to worship was an inferior prideful god, that there is a greater God than this creator.
So you can see the level of false doctrine that’s was going on to which Apostle John was warning the brethren against. This same group of people is whom he referred to as the Anti-Christ. And He said they are (were) many
Look at it..
“ 1 John.2: 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
Notice the word of John. ..They went out from us. Meaning they were believers in the first place but have left into believing something else other than the true faith. And what is that, ? That the Almighty God, the creator cannot dwell or live amongst men, because earth is evil and the true God cannot be involved in that so the only god that can dwell amongst men is an inferior prideful god. This is completely unimaginable, the level that men who were once believers can degenerate into in the quest for what they might called light or wisdom.
But now the word says,
“1 Tim.3:16 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.”kjv
“1 Tim 3: 16, great and important and weighty, we confess, is the hidden truth (the mystic secret) of godliness. He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the [Holy] Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and] taken up in glory” Amp.
Therefore we believe that God truly came as a human being, poured out His own blood in the Christ for the redemption of humanity. See this..
“Acts, 20: 28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
So not to believe that God took on the human nature for the purpose of man’s redemption makes that individual an Ant Christ. Therefore the Ant-Christ is not just a man in the future, but a spirit that can manifest in men at any time if we lose our guard in the word of God by not allowing the Holy Spirit to instruct us.
So the unpardonable sin is that man that rejects the works of the Holy Spirit. And so being eternally separated from God-death.

Gnosticism is the belief that God cannot dwell with and in man. So God in Christ could not have manifested a s a human being.
But scriptures revealed to us that God was manifested in the flesh. 1 Tim.3:16, Acts 20:28.
And so the warning against the Gnostics belief is
1 John 4:1 BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.
2 By this you may know (perceive and recognize) the Spirit of God: every spirit which acknowledges and confesses [the fact] that Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [actually] has become man and has come in the flesh is of God [has God for its source];
3 And every spirit which does not acknowledge and confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh [but would annul, destroy, sever, disunite Him] is not of God [does not proceed from Him]. This [nonconfession] is the [spirit] of the antichrist, [of] which you heard that it was coming, and now it is already in the world.
4 Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world. AMP
But above all … “ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ” (Acts.2: 36) And … 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” 2 Cor.3:17.
So you see, the Holy Spirit is Christ, God in Spirit form. Now in rejecting the Holy Spirit, you are rejecting God Himself, and outside of God is death. This is why it is an unpardonable sin. A sin unto death

And let it be noted furthermore, that when the Bible says,. “The Lord is that Spirit”.. That was defining who the Spirit is, the Lord!. And this is the Spirit that came on the Day of Pentecost. So then, that was God coming to dwell amongst men, once again.
In summary, 666 is the number of times man have rejected the manifestation of the Godhead.
Col 2:9 For in Him (Christ) the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].
10 And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead — Father, Son and Holy Spirit — and reach full spiritual stature]. ….AMP.
It has nothing to do with literal figure coming out from somewhere some days to come. It is just the fullness of the unredeemed man. The full expression of the Adamic life , just as Christ was and is the full expression of the life of God in human form.See it
“Heb.1:3 He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] …..AMP”
Just as Christ carried all of the Godhead and have Him reveal to creation in a physical form, so it is that the redeemed man ought to be sole expression of the God head Bodily.
Now if you go to Rev 13: for the historical perspective,
11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
This was simply NERO, who joined with the religious system of the Jews to persecute the early Church. But there is no room here to discuss this in details.
You have to understand scriptural symbolism to be able to decode what the words like beast, dragon, coming out of the earth , the mark, number or name etc stands for, in order to be able to appreciate this passage .
Therefore, for those who believe in and are afraid of a literal Anti- Christ 666. The goodnews is this, Nero is dead, and therefore the Anti-Christ 666 is dead and gone never to rise again. So insure your fear
