Yes, I know how we feel when our members are not ministering to us. You care, pray, visit and fast because of them. You have changed your message several times into finance and honour to the man of God and yet they are not responding to your need like you feel it should be. Now you are bitter, you don’t know what the problem is. One prophet must have told you; the devil is binding your finances so that they don’t minister to you, and you believed that. Really?

Now listen to this;

1 Samuel 10:26-27 “26And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched. 27But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.”

Only those whom God have touched their hearts joined and ministered to Saul and the other group said “HOW SHALL THIS MAN SAVE US, and so they brought him no gifts…” They refused to sow into his life because they have no value for him. They couldn’t see him to be someone who could deliver them from their enemies. Remember that the onus of warfare victory then rested on the kings. So, to them Saul had no capacity for that.

But see the turn of events:

1 Samuel 11:11-13 “11And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together. 12And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? Bring the men, that we may put them to death. 13And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for today the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel.”

Here then is the solution, the proof of your calling! As long as Saul could bring victory to the nation, his recognition came without him enforcing it by coercion or tricks. You don’t need to tell them how powerful you are, just do the work as the Father has graced you with. Recognize who you are and be focused. Saul held his peace because he knew who he was; he had value for his anointing.

Your victory, which is your grace speaking, will cause them to come bow before you and bring you an offering without you stressing. So long as you can meet their needs with your grace, they will turn around to be a blessing to you.

And by the way, why do you think only your members can do that for you? The first car I drove in ministry was half paid off by someone else whom I was called to pray for who was sick in the hospital for weeks without result. On his discharge, he came with an envelope to bless me, but while leaving he saw no car parked at the fellowship premises. He asked the wife if this pastor has no car. The wife said no, the next day he brought half of the price of a Brand new Jetta to me and got a car dealer to deliver it. Then my church was not up to twenty solid people, and only one civil servant. No cash anywhere.

Same season, my first international ministry travel was fully paid for with ticket and honorarium, with my first Book published for his conference by my host in South Africa, Dr Robert Munien of Grace Outreach Durban. All because he met me half way in my message preaching in a conference in Akwa Ibom, and was touched by the message I was delivering; “the kingdom of God.”

Have been here now in the states staying in a hotel fully paid for with food for a week long, by someone who is so blessed by my ministry. They are not my local church member back home. I am not preaching for them except they have heard me preach in a conference in Chicago and receives my teachings regularly via WhatsApp.

So, friends, why the worry and telling everybody how your church members are not ministering to you despite your labour. Just let your grace speak! Be focused! Develop yourself! Be the sought after because of what you do. Once they are truly and properly being fed with the word and what they are looking for, they will surely minister to you. They came back to Saul because they saw his victory on the war front.

Much blessing dear ones.

Be Encouraged!
