John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly”

But Jesus said “…I am come that they might have life”

Meaning my doctrine gives life, because it is the true doctrine- But that of the false and bad shepherds leads to death, because it neither comes from nor can lead to the very God who is the fountain of life.

In defense of what His words carry He said;

John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

So, Jesus’ teachings carry life hence He is the way, the Truth and The Life to the Father. The religious leaders do not have this ability in them, and so cannot transform lives with their teachings most of which are copy and paste and most times they don’t even paste it properly to even make sense or meaning-no life!

So, Jesus further added as to Him who gives life “…I am come that they Might have it more abundantly” i.e., that men may have this life He is providing in abundance. Meaning whether of life, or of all necessary good things. Greater joy than ever was enjoyed under any period of the Mosaic epoch.

So then, it is considered of a truth, Christians have enjoyed greater blessings and privileges than were ever possessed by the Jews, even in the promised land. And it must be seen that this life is not just about material things alone but “more abundant life”; that is, eternal life; or spiritual blessings much greater than had ever yet been communicated to man, preparing for the glorious immortality.

Jesus has come that men may have life in abundance; abundance of grace, peace, love, life, and the joy of salvation.

“Identity of the Thieves”

So here, is the identity of the Thieves and Robbers, who do not only snuff off the life you have received but also make sure you are killed by making it impossible that through their messages and attitude you might even hate that which is called Christianity. They don’t in anyway help your life of joy and love of the Father but cause you to regret why you are a Christian. Their messages are human representations such that they shift your allegiance from God to man.

By implication, you recognize them more than God. Have you heard people say the God of so and so? You truly at this stage don’t have any faith of your own. There is no single faith within you that you can depend on for living. Paul said Christ in you the hope or Glory (Colossians 1:27). But with the thieves, Christ is never form in you, that will make you depend more on them. You are ever tied down with many programs so that you don’t even have time for yourself to meditate and receive instructions from God. They give you fear based messages so that you will always go back to them for solution and protection. You can’t hear God for yourself. You are never made to come to the place of maturity in Christ and so you are tossed about by every wind of doctrine. You are deprived of true knowledge but given false doctrines that can’t deliver the life of God to you. In so doing, you die like when Adam and Eve who ate of the tree of knowledge and evil, and died to the life of God.

My friend the catalogue of these thieves and robbers is endless…

So here is what Jesus said “All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them” (John10:8).
