“The Prince of Persia”
I got this interesting question from a facebook friend, asking “who is the Prince of Persia”? And also “who is Michael the Arch Angel? Largely there are sone major beliefs as to who these personalities are.
The prince of Persia is commonly seen as a territorial demon in charge of that kingdom that was resisting Daniel.
And that Michael the Arch angel is the second most powerful angel working with angel Gabriel running errands for God.
What got me thinking in this case of the angel that complained of being resisted by the Prince of Person is the fact that, how can a demon stop a whole angel of God on a mission sent by the Father from carrying on the work of God? How lazy was this angel?
“The case with territorial demons instead of territory Angels”.
Have you ever wondered that all that intercessors even talk about are territorial demons that must be bound over nations and certain environments, like cities countries, but no mention is ever made on territorial Angels of cities or Nations?
Which of these two opinions do we really have scriptural backings for the most?
Who are termed the “watchers” in the Bible and “watchmen” What ought to be the role of watchmen in relation to the watchers?
Let’s begin the journey into the word and the mind of God. Looking at the Book of Deut.32 we read;
Msg. Deut 32: 8 “When the High God gave the nations their stake, gave them their place on Earth, He put each of the peoples within boundaries UNDER THE CARE OF DIVINE GUARDIANS. 9 But God himself took charge of his people, took Jacob on as his personal concern.” MSG
TLB. Deut 32: 8 When God divided up the world among the nations, He gave each of them A SUPERVISING ANGEL! 9 But he appointed none for Israel; For Israel was God’s own personal possession!
The above translations gave us very clear and concise information as to what God did for every nation under the sun when He allocated the Nations into their various continents and set their boundaries. He appointed a guardian Angel for each nation.
This information is very important for the average intercessors who truly know their place.
And so if you now say that Dan.10: 13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia”.. means a demonic power, then we miss the point because an angel of God cannot or ought not to stand against the purposes of God.
So who then is the prince of Persia? We shall see later.
In Dan 4. When King Nebuchadnezzar was to be sent into the forest for seven years we are told.. Dan. 4:
16 “Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him. 17 This matter is by the DECREE OF THE WATCHERS, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men”.(KJV)
The watchers so mentioned are the same people as the guardian angels of the nations who are here to enforce the will and the mind of God. These are not demons.
There are two passages that clearly explains to us as to what happens when the fate of nations are determined in the spirit realm.
The word “congregation” in Isa,14 is very important.
Isa,14: 13 “…I will sit also upon the mount of the “congregation”, in the sides of the north”
The word means, an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); amongst other meanings .
This shows that there is a kind of a yearly event in the realm of the spirit when these watchers, guardian angels come to give report to the Father about what is going in every nation.
This is when the affairs of nations are determined and kings or presidents are removed from office, with a change of government.
Typical example here is that of king Nebuchadnezzar and king Ahab,in1 kings22:19-35.. When in the discussion a spirit (watcher?) volunteered to become a lying spirit in the mouth of Ahab’s prophets in order to deceive him to go to war and so he died on the battle field. That’s how he was taken out of office; it was by the decree of the watchers.
To be continued…
