Isaiah 14:12, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”
Revelation 12; “7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night”
We have amply stated the devil is not the same as Lucifer. And that the passages above have nothing in common.
Let’s go on now dealing with the verse 10 of Revelation 12 word by word.
The opening statement is, (Revelation 12:10).
“Now is come salvation”.
What is that? It means complete deliverance from the power of Satan and his deceptions.
Salvation, in the Greek, means “the salvation (namely, fully, finally, and victoriously accomplished”.
Again, Paul’s commissions testify to this;
“17I’m sending you off 18to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. I’m sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven, and a place in the family, inviting them into the company of those who begin real living by believing in me.” Acts 26:17-18 (MSG)
We can see that the triumphant songs are here reflecting the joy of the overthrow of Paganism in the fourth century and for us through the cross, the ultimate victory over the power of the enemy has been secured. It must be seen that this work is accomplished on earth here, for the victory of the cross was not done in heaven far away but right here on the earth. Christ was crucified here not in heaven, and that brought salvation to us. The salvation of God took place when Christ died on the cross. That is when the blood was poured out for our salvation on earth.
Therefore, this is not a song of what happened some years back when there was a war in heaven. Not at all.
Paul further declared the reason for the song of the overcomers of the devil when he said;
Galatians 1:3-5 “3So I greet you with the great words, grace and peace! 4We know the meaning of those words because Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we’re in by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God’s plan is that we all experience that rescue. 5Glory to God forever! Oh, yes!” (MSG)
Furthermore, scripturally speaking, Christ is our Salvation, so here the victorious church is declaring in this song of redemption, the appearing of the Christ of truth in our lives.
Colossians 3:3 “For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory”
Again, we are still in Revelation 12:10
“Now is come salvation, “and strength”
That is, now is the mighty power of God manifested in casting down and subduing the great enemy of the church released to the Brethren, the church. Now as believers, we can exercise His power in His stead and in our lives just like we saw in the lives of the Apostles in Luke 10, when the devils fell before them.
Luke.10, “7And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: 9And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you… 17And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name 18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven”
So, we have received peace and grace from His sacrifice, for the war is over with the deception of the enemy, following our salvation and “strength”, to deal with the power of the enemy in casting out devils wherever they show up themselves in the territory the Fathers has given to us and in His people, His temple.
“Now is come.”
“And the kingdom of our God”
The casting out of Satan from the temple, heaven of God results in the manifestation of the kingdom as a replacement of the authority that was usurping God’s throne. That is now the reign of our God, being established among men, and God will henceforward rule. This refers to the certain ultimate triumph of His cause in the world, resulting from the dislodging of Satan from the hearts of men as we saw in Ephesians 2:1-2,that there is a spirit controlling the hearts of men. This is what is cast out and the kingdom, the rule of God is established.
So we read;
Matthew 12:28, “ But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you [before you expected it].” (AMP)
“Before you expect it”, talking to the Jews, because then He hasn’t gone to the cross and the Holy Spirit has not been poured out, who is the carrier of the kingdom.
See it;
Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost”
So we declare that the casting out of Satan in Revelation 12, have nothing to do with a Lucifer encounter with God some years back. The war in heaven is all about the dethronement of the ruling paganistic dynasty of the Empire when the Book was written and the casting out of devil from the hearts of men being the throne of God where He rules from by His Spirit.
Again, we state that the blood of Jesus with which the devil was destroyed was not poured out in heaven above but here on the earth and that procured our salvation. The kingdom of God is not established in heaven but here on Earth. Salvation is not a heavens product but that which is manifested here on the earth.
You can see that the whole experience of that verse 10 of Revelation 12 is our earthly experience, not in heaven above. Therefore this war took place here on the earth but revealed from the spirit realm through the sacrifice of Jesus.
Let’s stop teaching people what the Bible didn’t teach or else we shall soon be found as liars and hypocrites like the Pharisees and Scribes of old. The kingdom has come once Satan’s power has been subdued!
To be continued…
