Isaiah 14:12, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

Revelation12; “⁷And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels ⁸And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. ⁹And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ¹⁰And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night”

We have stated that the above two quoted scriptures do have no relationship. None is interpreting the other. They are two different scenarios and two different personalities and times frame. The devil is not the same as Lucifer.

Going by Jesus statement in:

Matthew 12:28, where was the devil when he was being cast out? He was right there in the hearts of men! Compare Mark 7:21-23.

You see this clearly in Ephesians 2

“¹And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; ²Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:… ⁵Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ ⁶And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”

The devil therefore was cast out of our spirit that he might not influence our lives again, to be replaced by the Spirit of God.

In John 3:6, we are told. “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit”

(Notice that there are two spirits mention here, one is our human spirit (Proverbs 20:27) with small letter, the other is in capital, the Holy Spirit. Now we can walk with another spirit in control of our lives instead of the devil in our hearts as children of disobedient. This is just what it really means to be born from above. The Holy Spirit becoming one with our human spirit.

1 Corinthians 6: 17, But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Therefore;

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” Colossians 3:1-2.

“To be in the earth or earth – dwellers” doesn’t mean those living in the globe – world, but those who are still in Adam in their nature, those who have not put on the life or nature of Christ.

1 Corinthians 15, ”⁴⁷The first man (Adam) is of the earth, earthy: the second man (Christ) is the Lord from heaven. ⁴⁸As is the earthy (Adam), such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly (Christ), such are they also that are heavenly.⁴⁹And as we have borne the image of the earthy (Adam), we shall also bear the image of the heavenly (Christ).”

Paul explained this further when he said;

“For our conversation is in heaven…” Philippians 3:20. Meaning we are heavenly dwellers for being in Christ now as we are now bearing his image – nature.

Philippians 3:20 (AMP) “But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,”

These sets of people are compared with those who walk or live in the Earthly Adamic realm.

“(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things”.(Philippians 3:18-19). These again are those earthly dwellers.

Therefore through the cross of Jesus, the ruling power in the hearts of men (the prince of the air) has been dislodged to be replaced by the rule of Christ as kingdom subjects, and this new state is termed “dwelling in heaven”, not necessarily a geographical location, as even Christ himself though on Earth in Palestine, yet was in heaven when he told Nicodemus what He told him;

John. 3; “¹²If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? ¹³And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven”. You can believe Jesus, can’t you?

Again, looking at the following scripture;

Deuteronomy 32:1-2 “¹Listen, O heavens, and I will speak; hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.  ²Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants”. (NIV)

We see that Moses was speaking to the priesthood (heavens) and the rest of the Israelites (Earth).In other words Moses wasn’t intending to teach a location called heaven and the trees, oceans and land as the Earth, but a people; the Israelites.

So why cast out devils?

In order that the blindness in the hearts and mind of people (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) might be taken away, so that they can receive the revelation of Christ who is the Image of God, thereby expressing God instead of the nature of Satan. This is the primary purpose of the Gospel of Christ and the true ministry of deliverance. Hence we read;

“For the same God who said “out of darkness, let LIGHT SHINE (Genesis 1:3) has caused HIS LIGHT (Christ) TO SHINE WITHIN US to give the light of revelation-The revelation of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”. So “be renewed in the Spirit of your mind that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory may give unto you the Spirit of WISDOM and REVELATION IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIM” Why? Because “IN Him was (Life and the life was (is) the LIGHT OF MEN” 2 Corinthians 4:6, Ephesians 4:23, 1:17, John 1:4 (NEB, KJV)

If this is not achieved through the ministry of deliverance, then true deliverance has not taken place. Jesus emphatically said this to Paul as part of his main commission.

Acts 26; “¹⁷Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, ¹⁸To open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins and a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in Me.” (Isaiah 42:7, 16)

Did you notice what true deliverance is all about?

 The opening of the spiritual eyes of those blinded by satanic ignorance, that’s the power of darkness.

What was Paul delivered from?

The malice of the Jews and his religious pharisaic zeal with which he was persecuting the Christians. Clear light over darkness is true deliverance.

So the casting out of the devil from heaven is the dislodging of its power from the throne of God, the heart of men where He God was supposed to occupy. And it happened only right from the time of the Cross of Christ not before then. Satan’s fall was not prehistoric! That is religious dogma and very deadly for a sane believer to preach or teach and for people to believe into.
