Isaiah 14:12; “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”

Revelation 12; 7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels 8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.  9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night”

Just like we have stated, the above quoted two passages of scripture do not have anything in common, they are not referring to the same thing. One was a human Babylonian king; the other is the spirit that worked in the children of disobedience.

Verse 7; “And there was war in heaven”

If we go by the Historic interpretation of this Book of revelation, even the preterits view, Heaven here simply stands for the throne of the Roman Empire, the war in heaven consequently alludes to the breaking out of civil commotions among the governors of this empire.

“Michael and his angels fought against the dragon”

By Michael and his angels, simply means Christ, and the angels belonging to Him. The very meaning of the name ‘Michael’ means ‘who is like God’; and only Christ is like God, for He is in the likeness of His Father, His essential likeness.

Again, Michael was the man child (the church) which the woman brought forth, as is evident from the context which is cooperate, same way the woman, church came out of Egypt and birthed the son, in the wilderness through Moses, and therefore signifies as has been shown already, the dynasty of Christian Roman emperors. This dynasty is represented by Michael, because he is “the great prince who standeth for the children of God’s people.” (Daniel 12:1)

“The Christ Jesus of God”

Jesus spoke of the Man Child in John16:21

“A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembered no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world”

This is in reference to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.

The Spirit filled Church being the Man-child, from the woman. And this Child is called Michael, Christ Himself, because he is the head of His Church; the Church being His Body on the earth.

Ephesians 1:23 “The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which He SPEAKS and ACTS, by which He fills everything with his presence” (MSG).

“John’s disciples were called Angels”

Luke 7:24 “And when the “messengers of John” were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind”

The word “Messengers” is aggelov aggelos, to bring tidings, a messenger; especially an “angel”; by implication, a pastor:–angel, messenger.

This is why the Pastors of the Seven Churches in Asia were called angels;

Revelation 1:20 (AMP) “As to the hidden meaning (the mystery) of the seven stars which you saw on My right hand and the seven lampstands of gold: the seven stars are the seven ANGELS (messengers) of the seven assemblies (churches) and the seven lampstands are the seven churches”

So you see, Michael and His angels’ represent the saints that did war with the ministers of the Roman state here historically speaking. And it stands for the evil forces resisting the Church of the living God on Earth. The very thing Jesus said, I will build my Church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it (Matthew 16:18).

Angels therefore are not necessarily creatures with wings, but messengers of an individual.

So here we are seeing the messengers of Satan being used to fight against the will of God’s Christ and His messengers.

Verse 8 “And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven”

Here we see that the advocates of the heathen idolatry were prevented from having any further share in the government of the empire. The wonderful success of Constantine over all his enemies, and his final triumph over Licinius, correspond exactly to the symbolical language in this verse. Again, we see truth prevail over evil.

This I say again, this war has nothing to do with a war in God’s heaven some years back that led to the fall of Satan-Lucifer with his angels.

Revelation 12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him”

That Old Serpent

 Who is the serpent in the Bible? Is that Lucifer? Not at all, look at it ;

That old serpent is of the man of Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made…”

So we see that, the same Old serpent is called the devil, and Satan which decieveth the whole world through Eve.

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:” Genesis 1:4.

The word Devil is the Greek, word for “accuser,” or “slanderer.” Satan–the Hebrew for “adversary,” especially in a court of justice. But it is the same person being referred to here. No mention of Lucifer here please! Jesus never used that name for the devil anywhere in scriptures.

Who is called the Devil and Satan – Greek and Hebrew?

Please mark the twofold objects of his accusations and temptations, on the elect Gentiles and the elect Jews. The very set of people that makes up the Church of Christ. Meaning he was out to deceive the Church of Christ.

These words are exactly of the same meaning; the former Devil is, Greek; the latter Satan is Hebrew; speaking of the grand adversary of all the saints whether Jews or Gentiles.

Deceive the world–Greek,

“habitable world then, the Roman world”

This is why “this Gospel of the kingdom must be preached in the entire world. Then the end shall come” (Matthew 24:14).

Which end was He talking about?

The end of the Jewish order hence the fall of Jerusalem and destruction of the Temple in AD 70.

The end came. Talking of this Greeco – Roman world.

This is why Paul said in Romans 1

7To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints… 8First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world”

The faith of the Christians in Rome is being spoken of throughout the whole world? Whoever heard of the Faith of the Christians in Rome. No sir! This was talking about the faith of the believing Jews and Gentiles within the Greeco-Roman world. Paul wrote this Book in AD 56-58. Jerusalem fell in AD70, forty years after the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.

Look at the case of Paul and Silas in Acts 17:6 “And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also”

Which world were they turning upside down? Of course we know it has to do with the Greeco –Roman world. Not Africa or Latin America.

So Jesus meant to say in Matthew 24:14, that the Gospel of the kingdom will be preached for all the Jews around the Roman world to hear it before the Judgment of Jerusalem in AD 70. And this is what Paul even confirmed in Romans 10:17-19.

Now, don’t forget this, that the devil’s weapon was deception, so the war was simply being fought against truth not to prevail in the then Roman Empire.

How did the power of Satan increase on the Earth from being a small Serpent to a Dragon?

It is evident that with the increase of mankind on the earth, wickedness was multiplied, (Genesis 6:1, 6. 2 Timothy 3:1-4, 3:13) And this is how the small SERPENT of Genesis 3:1 became the GREAT DRAGON of Revelation 12:9.

And now we see that he started killing through Cain who was (son) of the wicked one” (1 John 3:12). Meaning that the heart (spirit) of Cain was born of the satanic influences despite the fact that himself and Abel came out of Adam and Eve (Genesis 4:1-2).

This spirit of murder which started in the heart of one man long ago has now spread into the hearts of people all over the world in such a big scale through religious delusion, politics and freshly corruptions.

So, the GREAT DRAGON, with seven heads (perfect Government) and ten horns (complete authority) is a composite people, nations, tongues, governmental authorities called the ANTICHRIST that is fully controlling the world. He is now the prince of the world, no longer the little serpent of Eden. It is because of this satanic influence in high places that led to the prophecy of Pharaoh being called;

“The great dragon in the midst of her rivers” (Ezekiel 29:1-3, See Psalms 74:12-14) when Egypt was ruling the world.

People of God, let it be noted that this devil is found within the heart and mind of men, hence we read Mark 7;

21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:”

Did you notice anything here? It’s one heart, but many men. Meaning the spirit is at work in all men producing the same result right from the time of Adam’s fall. This is what is rocking the world today.

But the word says in Ephesians 4:27

“Neither give place to the devil” by the kind of thoughts you think.

What are we saying?

That Revelation 12, speaking of “the war in heaven” has nothing to do with a pre-historic fight in the Heaven of God that caused the devil to be cast down. The devil or Lucifer as you may think never existed in heaven where God lives once. The Bible never recorded anything like that.

It’s all made up by the Church system basing their theory on the above quoted scriptures of Revelation 12 and Isaiah 14. But the days of these lies for those who want to walk with God in truth is over.

To be continued…
