Matt. 24:13, “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲.❞”

Again, we move on to look at this particular passage in John 14:3 that I feel is most abused in application as touching the hope of Jesus’ second coming, which also will lead to the end of the world. “❞𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐈 𝐠𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.❞ John 14:3.

To the average believer, Jesus is simply promising us of His second coming to take us home to heaven by the rapture. And the rest of mankind is doomed to perish in the hands of the antichrist, then ending up in hell fire. But what was Jesus really telling you ?

❞…𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗢 𝗠𝗬𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗙.❞

Here, the Word of God says He is receiving us unto HIMSELF-A PERSON and not unto a geographical location. It is to the person of Christ Himself that we the church is being taken.𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐬 ❞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚❞ –𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫, 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡, 𝐚𝐜𝐭, 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 ‘𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐨’ –𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 ₍𝐢𝐧 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, ₍𝐥𝐢𝐛․ 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐠․₎ 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐭, 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟․

The two words joined together is ‘paralambano’ which means to receive near, that is ASSOCIATE WITH ONESELF (in any familiar or intimate act or relation). By analogy, to assume office.

So in the real sense of it, it simply means that Christ is taking us unto Himself as ❞𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲❞ from this present evil world through the atoning blood “…who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world (age)…“ “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood” (Gal. 1:4; Acts 20:28).

So you see; as He redeems us with His blood and He is washing us with the Word (John 17:17), He is taking a people to Himself from amongst the rest of mankind. It has nothing to do with a people being taken up to a geographical location up in the sky.

No! That’s not the mind of God neither that of Jesus in making this statement.

A clear picture of this is found in the Old Testament on the thought of receiving a people (the church) to Himself in the sense of the same redemptive work being accomplished with the children of Israel as stated by Moses; ❞𝙔𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙜𝙮𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙗𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝘼𝙂𝙇𝙀’𝙨 𝙒𝙄𝙉𝙂𝙎 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙍𝙊𝙐𝙂𝙃𝙏 (𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚) 𝙔𝙊𝙐 𝙏𝙊 𝙈𝙔𝙎𝙀𝙇𝙁 (𝙂𝙤𝙙),❞ 𝙀𝙭𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙨 19:4

Israel was brought to a person, not a location. This is simply being brought into a relationship with Him that Israel might be to Him as both a bride and a son. As truly you cannot become a son except you have gone through being the bride. Hence, we see that the manchild was birthed by the woman of Rev. 12 that was to rule the nations.

So friend you are not being taken up to Heaven at the end of the world when Jesus is supposed to come again; rather you are being taken as the Bride unto Christ, and this was achieved at the time of Pentecost.

To be continued.

Next, “JESUS PROMISED TO COME AGAIN.”
