Rev. 20:12, “…and ANOTHER BOOK was opened, which is the BOOK OF LIFE: and the dead were JUDGED out of those things which were written in THE BOOKS, according to their works.”

“And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in THE BOOK OF THE LIFE OF THE LAMB slain from the foundation of the world,” Rev. 13:18.

Merely looking back at history, you will notice that there are some people, male and female alike, who have so walked this earth and had their stories properly recorded in their biographies but who today mostly are no more. But truth be told there has never existed anyone in creation born of a human being that has lived and left behind such an indelible mark to date that men can or will talk about as Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

He lived such an incredible life that is still being talked about today, never to be forgotten. The fact is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, through His earthly life and ministry, His death, resurrection and ascension, started and wrote the THE FIRST CHAPTER OF THIS GLORIOUS BOOK OF THE LIFE OF THE LAMB.

The first chapter of the Gospel of John opens by saying,

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God…in Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines into darkness: and the darkness comprehended it not…AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, AND DWELT AMONG US (John 1:1-14).

So we see that the Word of God was made manifest for the entire world to read. This same Word contains life with the ability to lighten the darkened hearts of men who would ever come to this world.

Now this Word of God was written not on some papers, magazines or tables like in Moses’ days, but rather this Word was MADE FLESH TO DWELL AMONG MEN!

So then what manner of Book was this? Unlike those other books that are dead, this one is a Living Book and the name of this Book is JESUS!

And so the Word says,

“Wherefore when He comes into the world, He says, Sacrifice and offerings you would not, but a body you have prepared me. Then said I, Lo, I come (IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME) to do Your will, O God” (Heb. 10:7).

Looking at it critically, it means right from when He was born, got into ministry at the age of thirty, and did ministry for three and half years the Book of His life was in the making and nobody paid attention to it. So we are told,

“He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not,” (John 1:10) even though He “…was prepared before the face of all people (Luke 2:31).

Meaning even though He was readily available, no one could open the Book or decipher what His life is from the Book. Even John His own cousin being six months apart confessed,

“And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water” (John 1:31).

It therefore truly means when men say, “You can’t tell a book by its cover,” that this supports this logic historically speaking. No one could tell even though it was right there in their midst all of the time.

Luke 2:40, “And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him. 51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

In all of this, His identity was hidden from men even while He grew and lived a normal life like everybody else on a daily basis.

“…He was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin;” ”Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;” “…to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings” (Heb. 4:15; 5:8; 2:10 KJV).

For every trial that He went through like everyone else, it became a chapter of the ‘Book’ being written. And once He overcame that temptation, that lesson was perfectly recorded in His Spirit and sealed, yet unknown to the world around Him. He was being prepared for the Throne of Glory as ordained of the Father.
