Deut. 16:16, “Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles…”

As stated before now, these three major feasts of Israel which are Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles speak of the redemptive plan of God for mankind in His work of restoration. And this is fully revealed in the progressive work of man’s redemption from the Spirit, Soul and Body, as man is made up of three aspects as seen in 1Thess. 5: 23,

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole SPIRIT, SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

So salvation starts with the redemption of your spirit by the Holy Spirit (John 3:6) and then we receive this Holy Spirit working in our soul to restore our mind, will intellect and emotions (Rom. 12:1-2) to think and feel as God does.

The Earnest of our Inheritance.

Eph. 1:8-11, “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance,…

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory, (KJV).”

Ampl. Eph. 1:14, “That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the first fruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it — to the praise of His glory.”

“Which is the earnest of our inheritance.” ..

This is the Holy Spirit sealing the soul with truth and righteousness in our new birth, and it is a pledge and forestate of our heavenly inheritance.

When you purchase a property and make a down payment or advance payment, your name will be written against the property, e.g. a car, and a receipt is issued in your name with the word BALANCE and the amount stated to be paid before you take possession of the property. The dealer can no longer sell that car to another person until you come for the purchased possession.

Then at the payment of that balance, the car keys will be handed over to you and you drive your car home. But right from when you made the initial deposit, the property or car is already yours even though you have not taken delivery of it because of the balance left.

What is it that God purchased and why?

“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s”…”Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men, 1Cor. 6:20; 7:23 (KJV).

By implication the Father is repurchasing us back from the slave market of sin that our forefather Adam sold us into with the precious Blood of Christ, to which even our bodies have to go through corruption.

So what is the Heavenly inheritance? It is termed, “The redemption of the purchased possession.” This simply speaks of the time when the body and soul is redeemed from all their miseries and is glorified in the kingdom of heaven right here on earth.

The redemption of the purchased possession is the redemption of the body from corruption and its associate evils and sin factors and to its final glorification with the soul to align with God’s will and mind.

Msg. Rom. 8: 22, “All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. 23 These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. 24 That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. 25 But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.

26 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along…”

So you see, the Holy Spirit is a guarantee to us, an awareness and a constant reminder that our bodies of corruption which is now purchased with the Blood of Christ shall be glorified at the end.

Beloved the human race is not an experimental field. It’s a project in the hands of God that will bring forth praise and Glory to His name at the end of the Day.
