I believe there is a wilderness experience for every one called of God in his or her own special way tailored to meet the demand of the call and grace upon the life of that individual.

But what I don’t subscribe to and see in the scriptures is when you want to spend all of your time in the wilderness fasting and never coming out of it to do what God has called you for or into.

You are called into ministry and you have been away for ten years and you call it wilderness training? How many years do you have to live to do the work God has called you for when you are already 40 years of age ?

What is shocking to me most is you see people like this keep making mockery of the call as they go begging to survive and always having a reason to give why they can’t do anything yet because they are waiting on the Lord.

Can I tell you something? It’s either you were called of God or you never heard well what the Lord called you for. Even some saints go on suffering and claim they are waiting for the release of the Lord.

I have seen someone resign her job as principal of a Government school saying that she has a call of God. She would be squatting with people with all her properties scattered in different homes, living on hand outs and at the mercies of people, attending every conference in town collecting prophecies, filling diaries upon diaries with revelations and prophecies both received and given by people yet she wouldn’t move to do anything. She is in the wilderness and waiting on God. What a joke and confusion.

My friend listen. Every genuine wilderness experience has a provision. God doesn’t use life time suffering as a school to train you for years without you graduating. You missed something along the line.

Even when God sent Israel into the wilderness, the word says;

Ps.105:37, “He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.”

They had manna, their shoes were not worn out for forty years. The Lord provided for them.

Why is your own wilderness different? A wilderness that lacks supply and the date of expiration is not from God. It’s self-imposed suffering for lack of knowledge and the clear word of God for your life.

It’s a deception of the devil that you may rejoice in suffering and be used to it and call it wilderness training. I don’t agree with that.

Even with Israel the only reason they had to spend forty years was stated clearly;

Exo. 13:17, “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt.”

It was the spirit of fear and maybe this is your problem. You are just afraid to launch out, out of fear of failure or how you will survive that new season, since you are already used to the life of begging to survive.

My friend you have heard God long enough. Get out of this mountain of years and do what you are sure God has called you for which could even be a business.

You have heard enough prophecies about your life and ministry. All other things you are hearing now is your mind and soulish realm talking to you, not God.

The commission to Moses’ wilderness experience was only once and he moved on.

Stop glorifying the wilderness experience for it’s not bringing glory to God. If you don’t have the call, get something else to do. You are still going to be a child of God. The highest title anyone can ever get in the kingdom is son of God.

Suffering for too long and calling it a wilderness experience and training is not of God, if provision doesn’t accompany it.

May the love of God free us from this bondage of a mindset. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
