Galatians 1:3-4 “3Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:”

Paul talking on the influence of the prince of this evil age said;

“3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

That is the point; there is a delusion of religion through the prince of this age so that man will not accept the true Gospel that sets men free to ascend into the dominion mandate that God gave to man from the beginning.

So what actually is the Gospel? It’s about the king and His kingdom. Look at it;

Mark 1:14-15 “14Now after John was arrested and put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God, 15And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel).”

So the true Gospel is the reign of Christ in the hearts of the believer.

Accepting His Lordship to direct our life affairs and submitting to His dictates at any point in time. This is what the prince of this age will not allow men to receive, so that this glorious light of the Good news of freedom might be delivered to our hearts and cause us to walk in the light of His glory.

Mind you there are no two Gospels but one and that’s the Gospel of the kingdom.

Therefore, all those walking in the light of the glorious gospel have been delivered from the present evil world, this age of religious deception, out from the influence of the power that controls it.

Jesus speaking said;

John 8:12 “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”.

Again the word WORLD here as used by Jesus is kosmos, kos’-mos = orderly arrangement, i.e. decoration; by implication, the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, lit. or fig.(morally)–adorning, world.

The foundation of the world.

In Ephesians 1:4, we read “According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.”

The word “foundation” translates to the Greek word KATABOLE which is a compound word made up of BALLO meaning “to cast, to throw” and KATA meaning “down”.

So we are talking of when the world was thrown down and brought into a messed up state. The collapse of the world, the kosmsos.

This is when man fell from his high and holy relationship with God and was cast down into the darkness of this gross material realm, the “foundation” of the world was laid in his heart.

The apostle Paul informs us that our heavenly Father elected some sons in Christ “before the foundation of the world.”

The word “before” translates to the Greek word PRO meaning “to go before, to precede.”

We were already chosen in Christ before man fell in Adam and established that which is called the world, the very system of man.

So how did John describe what makes up or constitutes the world?

1 John 2:16
