Galatians 1:3-4 “3Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father”

So what makes up the world? What is evil in this world? Who founded the world? Was this evil world created by God? If so you mean to say God created an evil world? So how are we delivered from this present evil world?

But we also read that, after the sixth day of the creation week in Genesis chapter 1, God said everything was good;

Genesis 1:31 “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”

So what went wrong and when did the good thing God created become evil?

It was Jimmy Cliff, a Jamaican Reggae Artist who once asked the question in one of his songs in the 70s, “Who made the world?”

So friends, this question needs to be answered and it’s only then can you tell if you are truly saved, why you are saved and from what are you saved from.

What if I should tell you that God did not create this evil world, will you believe me? For you see, if He created the world then He would not deliver you from it. Can you get that?

Yet we are told all things were created by Him, for there was nothing made that was not made by him;

Colossians 1:16 “For by him were ALL THINGS CREATED, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.”

Truth is, God created the heaven and Earth and not the world.

Listen to this;

1 John 2:15-17 “15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

So what then is this world? When did this world begin? And who created this world that is passing away?

It is as you truly understand this, then can you truly understand what you are saved from. For though you are in this world you are not OF this world. You have been saved or delivered from it and you don’t have to wait for a rapture to be able to get out of this evil world. You ought to be delivered from it through the sacrifice of Jesus.
