“And I looked, and lo a Lamb stood on Mount Zion and with Him an hundred and forty and four thousand having His Father’s name written in their foreheads,” Rev. 14:1-5.
“THE NEW SONG OF THE REDEEMED”
“And they sang a new song BEFORE THE THRONE (OF GOD) and before the four living creatures and before the elders (of the heavenly Sanhedrin)…,” Rev. 14:3 AMP. So now singing has become the universal expression of love, the right voice for reverent adoration of our Saviour Jesus. For mourning, sorrows and tears are over. Why? Because God Himself is taking residence in His people by the Spirit (Eph. 2:20-22).
Even as the Word says, “look-the home of God is now among men, and He will live with them and they will be His people; yes. God Himself will be among them. He will wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, or sorrow, or crying or pain. ALL of that has gone forever,” Rev. 21:3-4 TLB.
The Psalmist in realization of this said, “O sing unto the Lord a NEW SONG; Sing unto the LORD ALL THE EARTH,” Ps. 96:1. What a clarion call to exalt the Lord of Glory.
Charles H. Spurgeon, in his series of homiletics, hinting on this verse said, “…Men are made new creatures, and their song is new also … National jealousies are dead; a Jew (King David) invites the Gentiles to adore and join with them, so that all the earth may lift up one common Psalm as with one heart and voice unto Jehovah, who hath visited it with His Salvation. No corner of the world is to be discordant (lack of harmony), no race of heathen to be dumb. All the earth Jehovah made, and all the earth must sing to Him. As the Sun shines on all lands, so all lands to delight in the light of the sun of Righteousness. …Out of many, one song shall come forth. The multitudinous languages of the sons of Adam, who were scattered at Babel, will blend in the same song when the people are gathered at Zion (the Church of Jesus Christ Heb. 12:22-23; Rev. 14:1-3). Nor men alone but the earth itself are to praise its maker. Made subject to vanity for a while by a sad necessity, the creation itself also is to be delivered from the bondage of corruption, and brought into glorious liberty of the children of God (Rom. 8:18-21) so that sea and forest, field and flood, are to be joyful before the Lord. Is this a dream? Then let us dream again. Blessed are the eyes which shall see the kingdom (Matt. 13:16-17; Heb. 12:28) and the ear which shall hear its songs… Yea, send forth specially the rod of thy strength out of Zion (Ps. 110:2) that the nations may bow before the Lord and His anointed;” end quote.
What a moment of glory that we are walking into. Only those with eyes fixed on the Lord, whose eyes have been enlightened to behold the beauty of the Lord and His marvelous work of redemption in all creation, can certainly be able to sing this new song in Mt. Zion.
The Word says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the father of glory may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Eph. 1:17-18.
Confusion in Christianity of the mode and numerous programs of worshipping God will not cease in the individual until the above prayer is answered in the lives of God’s people. And this is why it is difficult for so many of us to be fully separated from the strange language of Egypt – the world.
So you find that our songs and mode of worship are a complete mixture of God and the world. Therefore, God is not with us as it should be.
Consider your dressing, your language when not in your so-called church buildings; your music, etc.
But the Word says when Israel went out (separation) of Egypt, the house of Jacob from the people of STRANGE LANGUAGE, Judah was (became) HIS sanctuary (dwelling place) and Israel His dominion (the territory that He rules over)” Ps. 114:1-2.
