“And I looked, and lo a Lamb stood on Mount Zion and with Him an hundred and forty and four thousand having His Father’s name written in their foreheads,” Rev. 14:1-5. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.”

As stated earlier on, the meaning of the voice explains their deliverance from the hand of the wicked one and their long expected salvation in Christ. So essentially we are talking of the language of the overcomers.

And so the Word says, “…God is so rich in mercy; He loved us so much that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins, he gave us back our lives (the life of God -Zoe) again … and lifted us up from the grave (of sin) into glory along with Christ (when He rose from the grave) WHERE WE SIT WITH HIM IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS – all because of what Christ Jesus did,” Eph. 2:4-6 TLB.

So you can see that those occupying the heavenly realms with Jesus are the ones that have this voice or language, hence it is coming from heaven. The next thing we see here is that “the voice is like the voice of many waters.”

The simple meaning of this is that the voice is coming from a multitude of people. It is a language known to a people, only that they are many in number. This is clear enough when we realize that ‘many waters’ speaks of a multitude of people.

Therefore, when the harlot church was being described to John in the vision, we are told, “And the angel… talked with me saying …come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgement of the great whore that SITTETH (controlling) UPON MANY WATERS,” (Rev. 17:1). And the interpretation to this ‘many waters’ in verse 15 says “THE WATERS which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth are peoples and MULTITUDES and nations and tongues.”

The next thing we see in that verse is that the voice is “like the voice of loud thunder.” Again, it is clear that what makes it sound like thunder is the volume of the language (voice) because of the number of people that are involved in it. Those releasing the sound are multitudes; therefore, it sounds like it is thundering.

Furthermore, we can as well understand that “the sound of many waters” and “thundering” are symbolic of the voice of the exalted Jesus Christ. When God responded to the prayer of Jesus to have Him being glorified when He was talking about His death in John 12:20-29, we are told God said, “…then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it and will glorify it again. The people therefore, that stood by and heard it, said that IT THUNDERED…”

Furthermore, we are told, when John in the island of Patmos identified the voice of the glorified Jesus that spoke to him (Rev. 1:10-15), he said “…and His voice as the SOUND OF MANY WATERS.” It simply means that these people having the thundering voice and that of many waters in Rev. 14, are taking on the nature of God, for now they speak as Him, even as they are now His voice.

The truth is the “thunder and lightning” are symbols of God’s theophanic expression. (See Exo. 19:9-16; Acts 9:3+.) It is an expression of the Spirit realm visiting the earth realm. And of course we find that He, the glorified Jesus, “cometh with Clouds” (Rev. 1:7); and it is the evaporated and accumulated waters in the sky that form clouds.

When this accumulated waters is about to break forth again on the earth to continue the water cycle (Eccl. 11:3a) there is this release of electrical charges resulting in thunders and lightning. The clouds with which He comes is a glorified people – the clouds with waters (Heb. 12:2; Jude 14) as opposed to “the clouds without water” (Jude 11-12, 2 Pet. 2:17).

So when we are talking of “clouds with water” with which He comes, we are talking of a people with not only the anointing of God but also with the mind of God and the ministry of reconciliation.

Friends, I see a people so equipped at the end of the age coming forth with the anointing and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God rending the air as their voice thunders forth, thereby drowning the confusion that is presently going on in Christendom.

They shall speak with one voice as a united family, even as they have become united with the Lord, the head. They shall only be vessels through whom He who has the “thundering and the voice of many waters” passes through.

For we shall take of Him and speak as He has commanded.

We shall not speak of our own but through the Holy Ghost. (See John 16:14-15). This move of the thundering – clouds of God’s people – equipped with the life of God can best be described as “that great City, that holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God…” (Rev. 21:10-11).

They shall be as lightning messengers of God, for He “…maketh His angels Spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire” (Heb. 1:7; Ps. 104:4). The witness of Stephen who was full of FAITH and POWER (Acts. 6:8) is typical of what we are saying. We are told those who “…disputing with Stephen… were not able to resist the WISDOM and the SPIRIT by which he spake” (Acts 6:9-11).

We are told of when he witnessed against the Jews of his day about their stiffneckedness towards the move of God in their generation in Acts 7:1-60. “When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth” (Acts 7:54). Above all, as he witnessed before those “…that sat in the council, looking steadfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel” (Acts 6:15).

Wow! They saw light, coming out of Stephen, “…he being full of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 7:55). The very light that was revealed in its fullness by Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matt. 17:1-2). Oh my! What a glory for these thundering -Iightening – Clouds Company of people! We give our Daddy praise!

People of God we are onto something. Do not be weary. Something is around the corner that cannot be described with words. It can only best be witnessed.
