Truth be told.

A Christian cannot posses a devil neither can a Christian be possessed by a devil.

To posses means to own.

If for instance you are suffering from flu, you can’t say, you own a flu but rather you are attacked by flu or malaria fever. They are not your properties.

Same vein, a devil can attack a Christian but a Christian doesn’t possess a devil neither can the devil possess (own) a Christian.

A Christian is possessed (owned) by Christ for he that’s is joined to the Lord is one Spirit and ye are Christ’s (1 Cor. 6:17 Gal. 3:27-29).

And I mean A CHRISTIAN!

Most of what we term as devils are the works of the Flesh (Gal. 5:19-21).

You overcome the works of the flesh by bearing the fruits of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-25) as we walk and live in the Spirit.

So sometimes what we call deliverance are not really deliverance even though we see manifestations. That is why the people come back again for deliverance because they are what we create by our practice and belief system.

You see Saul together with all the people he sent to arrest David ended up prophesying, why? Because Samuel as the head of the sons of the prophets has created a prophetic atmosphere in the house based on what he was teaching the sons of the prophets. So whosoever enters in there will have no options but to pick up the spirit of prophecy.

Therefore Saul though not one of the prophets could prophesy because that was what was in the atmosphere.

So, the more you emphasize demons the more manifestations you will get because that’s what you are broadcasting into the atmosphere. You are creating a demonic atmosphere and who so ever comes in there picks up that spirit and there are manifestations.

The word says him whom the son of man sets free is free indeed.

True Christians cannot possess a demon neither can a demon possess them.

Attack is not the same thing as possession.
